8 Dimensions of Wellbeing
May we all find unique and personal ways to tend to our wellbeing through the various avenues available to us. Simple is often better and being well is different than setting out to achieve a vanity weight on the scale. There is more than one path to a life well lived. Perhaps balance and perfection are ever elusive. A life well lived usually has some care and attention to each of the following dimensions of wellness.
Intellectual wellness encourages us to try new things, challenge the brain, and keep a growth mindset in life.
Emotional wellness invites us to understand heal our mental health and to encourage the same for others.
Physical wellness reminds us to care for this one body we get - our ultimate ride or die. So we can live a long, fruitful life sharing our unique gifts with others.
Social wellness recognizes that it takes a village and that we are inherently social creatures. Maintaining healthy relationships and working towards community are key.
Occupational wellness encourages us to find ways to contribute and work with heart and meaning which provides a depth and connection with life unmatched.
Financial wellness invites us to bring awareness to our financial needs and the way we provide for ourselves and our loved ones, setting long and short term goals is key.
Environmental wellness encourages us to care for our outer environment, our homes, neighborhoods, communities, and the greater planet. Encouraging us to leave it better than we found it.
Spiritual wellness encourages each of us to find deeper meaning and connection in life, through traditional religious practices and/or personal values.
