Family Vacation Workout
Family workout time on vacation is a HIIT! I was so honored and proud that many of my extended fam, from grandpa to little guys, joined us and did an amazing job working out and moving on a recent family reunion vacation on the Mississippi river. Here are my tips for keeping moving on family vacation.
Less is More
It's my goal to walk as much as possible daily and I try for 20 minutes of mini HIIT circuit routine every other day. Vacation is not the time to push. It's time to be present and play. I make the circuit mostly bodyweight moves that anyone can do. The kids love running races. I put my workout clothes on as soon as I wake up and invite everyone 30m to 1 hour before it's go time.
My Routine
Run down street
Lunges
Pushups
V-ups
Run around pool or jumping jacks
Squats
Triceps or biceps with cans or stretchy loops
Planks
Logistics
Repeat 2-3 times

β 20 minutes total
